Week 2: Green Turtle Cay

 Our second week in the Bahamas was just as nice as the first. We had a beautiful five-hour sail from Marsh Harbor to Green Turtle Cay on March 4th and stayed there until March 10th. We anchored in Coco Bay, and then took a short dinghy ride each morning and evening with Jake to north end of the island  The beach there looked like a scene from a postcard and there were lots of treasures to be found among the sand and seaweed, including sea urchin shells and sea biscuits. Exploring the Abacos: Week 1

All of our hard work and preparation has paid off!  Our first week in the Bahamas is exactly what I had been looking forward to! Sunset in Marsh Harbor Before I start getting into the details, I thought it would be good to start with a bit of geography to get everyone oriented to our location.  The first map below shows the southern tip of Florida in the upper left, Cuba in the lower left, and the Turks and Caicos in the lower right.  The rest is the Bahamas, and the circled bit are the Abacos, where we are currently located.
